The UEFA under-17 European Championships begin tomorrow, with the hosts England taking on Israel at Chesterfield’s Proact Stadium.
The young Lions enter this year’s tournament as favourites after being crowned champions at last year’s competition in India.
Among the future superstars is Sheffield United goalkeeper Marcus Dewhurst.
He has been named as part of head coach Steve Cooper’s 20 man squad, after impressing for United’s development age groups this season.
United’s academy manager Travis Binnion said: “Marcus has progressed very well during his first season in full-time football.
“He has worked very hard with Matt Duke, our academy goalkeeping coach and both deserve credit, for this fully deserved call-up.
“Experiencing tournament football will be fantastic for his development, especially with England looking to defend their title on home soil.”
