Yorkshire lose to Somerset in County Championship

Yorkshire have lost by 118 runs in their cricket County Championship match against Somerset in Taunton.

After a flurry of five wickets for the home side this morning, the lower-middle order showed some gritty resistance in the afternoon as Jack Leaning posted 68.

However chasing a score of 321 in the final innings never seemed likely for Yorkshire, with England seamer Craig Overton taking 3-43 for the home side.

The defeat leaves Yorkshire with only one win from their opening three County Championship matches this season.

In other cricket news, Peter Siddle sported a comic woolly hat whilst bowling for Essex in their Division One match against Hampshire. This unusual attire did not stop him from breaking the bat of Rilee Rossouw and dismissing him two balls later.
