Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal has given a press conference in advance of his team’s game against Wolves on Saturday.
In the conference Carvalhal had a great deal of praise for his team particularly for the Owl’s draw against Fulham which he described as the best performance of the season. Whilst praising Saturdays game he repeated the need for the team to create enough chances to consolidate their form.
Asked whether he believed that his signings were making good progress at the club Carvahal said that he “expected a little more” but that it was a long season and things would get “better and better”.
He praised what he called the big heart of his side and the continuing support of fans who often did a better job than players.
In terms of the game against Wolves Carvalhal said the team were “not worried” about their opposition. Though he warned that he expected more energy from the side who recently hired former Celtic player Paul Lambert.
