Two men charged with Barnsley burglaries

Two men have been charged following separate burglaries in Barnsley on Monday.

Carl Corker, 46, of Mount Pleasant Road, Rotherham, has been charged in connection with the burglary of a house in Windmill Road, Wombwell.

Officers were called after the house was broken into and searched in the early hours of the morning and the man was detained inside the address.

Elsewhere, several watches were stolen from Argos on Peel Street in the town centre.

Paul Samuel Osbourne, of Holme Court, Goldthorpe, has been charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday 28 May.

Both men were remanded in custody.
