Tour de Yorkshire: Men’s second stage underway in Barnsley

The men’s second leg of the Tour de Yorkshire has kicked off in Barnsley today after Yorkshire cyclist Harry Tanfield won the first stage of the men’s race yesterday.

Today’s course is set to be extremely hilly, with king of the mountains points on offer three times at Blacker Hill near Barnsley, Wharfedale’s Old Pool Bank, and at Ilkley’s Cow and Calf.

Riccardo Minali took the king of the mountain points at Blacker Hill at around 1pm.

Reports of high winds at Ilkley could make the battle for the hill even tougher.
