Sheffield United fans took to the streets of the city in droves last night to celebrate the team’s success.
The team, who finished at the top of League One, accumulated 100 points over the course of 46 games to leave them 14 points clear of their closes rivals Bolton.
Celebrations started early in the afternoon with fans gathering around huge screens by the town hall to watch highlights of the team’s season.
The parade itself set off from Bramall Lane just after 6pm with several hundred fans gathering at the stadium to see the bus off on its trip into the city centre.
Fans then lined the streets across the city as the bus weaved its way towards its final destination, many more watched the bus’ progress on Facebook either at home or on screens by the Peace Garden .
After a slight delay the bus finally pulled into the square outside the town hall just after 7.30pm where a sea of red and white awaited them.
Sheffield United manger Chris Wilder nearly dropped the League One trophy as he showed it off to the crowd.
Players were then invited into the town hall where they received a civic reception before returning to the balcony to show off their silverware once more.
