Eight players from around South Yorkshire have been called up to their national squads ahead of the international break.

The long-throwing Rotherham midfielder has received his first national call up to the Wales squad for games against Trinidad and Tobago and Slovakia.
Vaulks has been in good form this season, nabbing six goals and providing six assists as a defensive midfielder.
The long serving Barnsley captain is one of three ‘keepers included in the Wales squad, but the only one playing regularly for their club team.
Davies has kept 18 clean sheets for the Tykes this campaign and has been a key part of their push for promotion.
23-year-old Barnsley winger Ryan Hedges has also been called up to Ryan Giggs’ Wales squad after receiving his first cap against Panama in the autumn.
Hedges has played 19 times for Barnsley this season but will struggle for a spot in the side ahead of the likes of Gareth Bale and Ben Woodburn.
In-form Sheffield Wednesday defender Liam Palmer is in line to receive his first Scotland cap after being called up to the squad ahead of games against Kazakhstan and San Marino later this month.
The 27-year-old received eight caps for Scotland U-21s and has been in impressive form for Steve Bruce’s Owls side.
The experienced Scotland midfielder, who registered two assists in Wednesday’s 4-2 win over Blackburn this weekend, was named in the Scotland squad last week.
He has since had to pull out of the squad, likely due to injury. He’s certainly going to be important in the Owls push for the play-offs.
Ex-Rangers midfielder Fleck has been called up to the Scotland squad for the second time. He is yet to earn his first cap, after not playing in the Autumn despite a call-up.
Fleck has been a regular for United this year, having played 38 times this campaign. He’s also provided six assists and scored twice.
Former postman Conor Washington will hope to add to his tally of 18 Northern Ireland caps against Estonia and Belarus next week.
The Blades striker is yet to find the net for his club this season.
Owls 34-year-old ‘keeper has been called up to Mick McCarthy’s Republic of Ireland squad. Westwood has been in good form for Wednesday having kept nine clean sheets in the league this season.
