Steelers fall to 5-1 defeat in Belfast

Sheffield Steelers were defeated heavily 5-1 on Sunday night in the SSE Arena in Belfast.

A consolation goal from Ryan Martinelli was the only positive the Steelers can take from their trip to Belfast.

It was a disappointing end to a double header that started off very positively, with a 5-1 victory at home against Milton Keynes Lightning.

The loss leaves Sheffield Steelers still in 7th league in the Elite League table.

The Steelers will be hoping for a repeat of Saturday’s result in their next away game against Milton Keynes Lightning on March 31.
