South Yorkshire Police have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to about an alleged sexual assault in Doncaster last May.

The police believe the man may hold “important information” about an alleged sexual assault on a woman by a man unknown to her, at a house on Highfield Road.

The woman and the alleged offender had both been in the St Leger Tavern earlier that evening, said Detective Constable James Burton.

“While I appreciate this incident happened in May, if you were in the pub that night and can remember seeing anything suspicious, get in touch,” he said.

“If you know the man, or recognise him, please contact us.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to call 101, quoting incident number 196 on 29 May. They can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
