South Yorkshire mayoral and Sheffield local elections: who can vote?
Polls opened today for the Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire mayoral elections.
As many as 28 seats are up for grabs in the city council along the Sheffield City Region metro mayor position, which will represent Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.
Votes can be cast anytime between 7am and 10pm at your nearest polling station.
People registered to vote in the any of the constituent councils of Sheffield City Region can cast their vote in the mayoral election.
