Sheffield Steelers hope to continue play-off push against top of the table Cardiff

Sheffield Steelers will be hoping to secure their spot in the play-offs when they face off against Cardiff Devils on Saturday.

The game follows on from a resounding 4-1 win for the Steelers on Saturday, followed by an away loss to Fife yesterday which still saw them pick up a point.

Steelers currently sit sixth in the Elite Ice Hockey League, and will face their next challenge at the Fly DSA on what promises to be a big Saturday night.

Cardiff Devils are four points ahead at the top of the table, meaning fans should be in for an exciting evening.

Coach Tom Barrasso is confident his team can steal some points from the game.

“I’m firmly of the opinion that if we take care of our business we are fine”, he said.

“There are no ‘givens’ but at the end of the day we need to take care of our business, win our games, I’ll take my chances with that.”
