Sheffield set for record breaking temperatures

Temperatures are set to hit 17°C in Sheffield today, the hottest day in February for over a decade.

This comes after a yellow weather warning for severe fog was issued by the Met Office this morning, with potential for travel disruptions across Yorkshire.

The weather warning has since been removed from the Met Office Website and weather map.

The Met office have since stated that the weather will be warm and sunny for the rest of the day as the fog clears up.

For tonight, it’s set to be dry through the evening with mist and fog patches forming and light winds. It should be chilly by dawn with possible rural frost and a minimum temperature of 0°C.
