Sheffield charity to release print for alcohol awareness week

A Sheffield charity is raising money for alcohol awareness week by collaborating with a local artist to release a limited edition print.

Sheffield Alcohol Support Service (SASS) have worked with Kid Acne for the second time to produce another ‘Happy Hour’ artwork.

The piece releases on 26 November with the aim of beating the £2000 collected from the previous collaboration.

SASS Director of Development, Lynn Lawson, is ensuring everything is done to match the success of the first print while ensuring people consider their own drinking habits.

She said: “You don’t have to be a heavy drinker to be doing yourself harm.

“Students are often involved in a culture of drinking which can be difficult to avoid.”

SASS also run the Alcohol Recovery Community which helps those struggling with alcohol to make a positive change to their habits.
