A Twitter troll who claims to be born and bred in Sheffield has begun harassing police forces across the UK again, despite being banned before.
Katie Louise Bell, who has been posting under the account name Blade1318, has previously had her Twitter accounts remover after posting offensive comments on tweets about missing people.
Using a variety of usernames, she has also targeted newspapers such as The Sheffield Star, The Metro and The Yorkshire Post.
Since 10 April, police forces across the UK have been forced to block Blade1318 after she continued to target police accounts.
South Yorkshire Police said: “It looks like this Twitter user has used a number of accounts to troll a number of police forces.
“We have blocked her account. As far as we are aware there isn’t an official investigation into her but we continue to monitor and block malicious accounts such as this one where necessary.”
Marie Celeste, who has set up an account specifically to expose Miss Bell, has claimed that 17 forces have blocked Blade1318 since the account was set up at the start of April.
Several Twitter users have questioned why the account has been allowed to continue and have asked Twitter support to shut down its activity.
