Seven Christmas gifts from the Steel City

We’re now well in to that most glorious time of year when the halls have been decked, everyone is doing their best to be jolly (despite, you know, 2016) and the mulled wine flows like the salmon of Capistrano!

What’s also inevitable at this time of year is our annual trawl through online and high street retailers searching for the perfect gift ideas.

Well, search no more. We’ve compiled a list of some of the finest products Sheffield has to offer over this festive period.

Whether you’ve meticulously planned your xmas assault or you’re leaving it all until the very last minute our guide will help you find some of the most unique gifts made by Sheffield independents for that extra special touch this year.

CAST are a relatively new outfit who are causing quite a stir by combining the unlikely bedfellows of food and jewellery.

They partner with local independent restaurants and cafes to tailor bespoke menus for diners to munch on while expert silversmiths teach them how to make a silver ring, which is then minted and their to keep forever.

This Christmas they have been trialing DIY kits which they hope will take the spirit of the live events and transfer it to home.

Kits range from £90 – £145 and gift cards are priced at £80.
