Police name Denaby Main stabbing victim

A man who died following a stabbing earlier this month in Denaby Main, Doncaster has been named by South Yorkshire Police as Lewis Guest.

Mr Guest, 18, was taken to hospital on the 8th March after emergency services were called to flats off Wadworth Street at 2.30pm after reports of an assault.

He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem revealed he died from a stab wound.

His family have released a statement. They said: “Lewis’ family are shocked and devastated by his death. They wish to thank all those people who have taken the time to leave their kind thoughts of Lewis on social media.

“However, his family would ask that their privacy is respected at this very sad time.”

Megan Sambrook, 18, of Wadworth Street, Denaby Main is charged with murder in connection with his death.
