A pension fund is set to invest £80 million into regional development in South Yorkshire.
The investment will work alongside the Sheffield City Region JESSICA fund, bringing the total amount invested in the area to over £120 million.
The JESSICA fund provides funding for the Sheffield City Region for commercial and regeneration projects in the region.
It seeks to spur on economic growth through sustainable development in the region.
It has been used to help developments in South Yorkshire already such as the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) and at Beighton Link in Rotherham.
Their hope is that together the two funds will help drive regional developments creating an investment vehicle which will be able to fund redevelopment in the region.
