New fostering initiative in Sheffield wants new carers

A new initiative combining residential care with fostering has been launched in Sheffield, and is looking for new carers.

Project Aspire will look to provide integrated and individualised care to vulnerable and complex young people from one central hub.

Aspire foster carers will have all the benefits Sheffield City Council foster carers have, including an extensive program of support, the equivalent of a £21,000 per year pro-rata salary and an additional foster caring allowance.

The project helps young people to stay at home with their families while offering local, high quality, family based care for young people who need to be looked after.

Project Aspire want to hear from anyone who works with children and has the skills, experience and enthusiasm to help shape the new initiative.
