Mid-table clash in the Championship for Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday welcome visitors from north-west when Blackburn Rovers arrive for a mid-table clash this weekend.

The two Championship sides are only separated by three points, with Wednesday sat in 16th and Rovers in 13th.

Blackburn haven’t won in their last three and were convincingly beaten 3-1 by Wigan Athletic last time out.

Despite a one nil win against Bolton on Tuesday, another poor performance at the weekend would surely pile more on Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay as his team only are only six points clear of the drop zone.

Owls skipper Tom Lees, pictured, who was recently voted into the EFL Team of the Week, criticised fans for booing left back Morgan Fox during the Bolton match.

Right back Ash Baker was banned for one match after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season against Bolton so he will not be available this weekend.

Wednesday and Rovers play at 3pm on Saturday at Hillsborough.
