Man who died after Spital Hall attack was Ahmed Sayeed Adan, say police

A man who died after an assault in Sheffield last Sunday has been named as 40-year-old Ahmed Sayeed Adan.

Mr Adan, from Burngreave, died of head injuries in hospital on Tuesday. He was assaulted just before 4am on Sunday 20 November, outside Emin Supermarket in Spital Hill.

South Yorkshire Police say the man may have been approached outside the supermarket.

The police, who are treating the case as a murder investigation, would like to hear from witnesses, or anyone who saw suspicious behaviour or vehicles driving in the area at the time.
