A serious crash on the M1 has forced its closure in Sheffield and left a man in hospital.
The crash took place around 1pm, and has left the man with head injuries, according to South Yorkshire Police.
The southbound carriageway is currently closed between junction 34 for Meadowhall and junction 33 for Catcliffe.
Road users should follow the diversion symbols which are displayed on road signs, and exit the M1 using J34 (North) slip road when driving south.
At the roundabout at the end of the slip road, take the second exit and proceed along the lower deck of the viaduct – beneath the M1 – around 800m to get to the next junction.
At the roundabout, take the first exit onto A6178, proceed for about two miles, take the third exit onto A630 (Centenary Way) and proceed for two more miles – then take the first exit at the next roundabout and rejoin the M1 South.
