Green party activist will stand for Magid’s seat in next election

Green Party activist Angela Argenzio will stand for Councillor Magid Magid’s seat in the local elections this May.

Coun Magid was elected for Broomhill and Sharrow Vale in 2016 and has served as the Lord Mayor of Sheffield since May 2018.

Yesterday Coun Magid shared a selfie of the pair on Twitter as they canvassed in support of Ms Argenzio and said: “I can’t think of a better person to represent such an incredibly diverse & dynamic ward.”

Kaltum Rivers, a Green Party counsellor in the same ward, shared her support for Ms Argenzio.

The next local government elections will take place on 2 May.
