Firth Park hit-and-run injures teenager, woman and child

A car crashed into another car before driving on to hit and injure a teenage girl, a woman and a child in North Sheffield yesterday afternoon.

The 16-year-old girl sustained significant leg injuries after being hit whilst walking on Horninglow Road, at the junction with Tideswell Road in Firth Park.

Both the woman and her eight year-old child were hurt but the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

It is thought that the car had already crashed into another car in Firth Park before going to collide with the group at 3:10pm yesterday.

The Ford Fiesta involved in the first collision was driven by a 39 year-old who remained at the scene.

A third car was also involved in the first collision but left the scene soon after, police have reported.

Two 21 year-old men have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of the collision and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.
