Doncaster Rovers prepare for midweek Wimbledon clash

Doncaster Rovers play their penultimate League One game of the season tomorrow against relegation-threatened AFC Wimbledon.

The Rovers currently sit 15th in League One, seven points clear of the relegation zone with two games remaining.

Manager Darren Ferguson insists his side will still be competitive: “We have a couple of games to go and we’re looking to use the squad as best we can. We know our quality needs to improve.

“Some players need a game and we have to have one eye on next season, whatever team I pick we want a good performance.”

Wimbledon have plenty to play for tomorrow – as they are just three points clear of danger – but avoiding defeat against Doncaster tomorrow will ensure they are playing League One football next season.
