A 23-year-old Doncaster man has today been sentenced to eight years in prison and three years on licence for killing PE teacher, Lewis Siddall, 24 with just one punch.
The unprovoked attack took place in August 2015 in Doncaster’s VDKA bar. Mr Siddall returned to his home in Crossfield Lane, Skellow, complaining of head pain. He was found dead in bed early next morning.
Blue Horrobin was found guilty of manslaughter by a jury at Sheffield Crown Court last month.
Sentencing was delivered by Justice Holgate today at the same court.
He said: “You [Horrobin] pose a serious threat to the public.
“You show no evidence of meaningful remorse.”
After the hearing, Mr Siddall’s uncle, David Siddall, said the sentence was fair, “but we would have liked to have seen him hanged”.
More to follow later.
