South Yorkshire Police are yet to identify a man whose body was pulled from High Melton waste water treatment works next to the grounds of Doncaster’s High Melton College.
Police were called to the college Tuesday afternoon following reports from workmen that a body had been discovered in the waters below.
Officers were unable to access to the body due to wintry conditions and the scene remained guarded overnight. The body was removed this morning.
A formal identification and post-mortem is yet to take place but detectives continue to work with Yorkshire Water, underwater search teams and crime scene officers to determine what caused the man’s death.
