Body found by police in search for missing Doncaster man

Underwater search teams recovered a body in the River Don in a search for a missing man yesterday.

The body has not yet been formally identified, but police believe it is that of 70-year-old Terry Harhoff, who has been missing since the night of 21 April.

Mr Harhoff’s disappearance was described by police as ‘extremely out of character’ as he spent so much time at home.

His death is not currently being treated as suspicious, but officers are keen to understand the cause of his death.

An investigation is reportedly underway as part of an attempt to piece together Mr Harhoff’s movements in the days following his disappearance.

Mr Harhoff’s family have been informed and specialist officers are supporting them.
