A frustrating match at Oakwell saw Barnsley in a 2-2 draw with Coventry City on Saturday.
In the first ten minutes Ryan Hedges attempted to net a forward ball from Cameron McGeehan but took the shot wide. The team was revived shortly after however, with a goal from Alex Mowatt.
Soon after, Coventry hit back with Jody Hiwula scoring in the 35th minute from inside the six-yard line, giving Adam Davies no chance.
The Tykes started the second half determined to claim more goals with Cauley Woodrow stealing another, making it his 15th of the season.
Their efforts to hold the lead were destroyed after Luke Thomas jumped on a loose ball and took it into the top corner in the 62nd minute.
Stoppage time added some more excitement to the game when Amadou Bakayoko’s header was saved beautifully by Davies.
The draw means that the Tykes have missed out on valuable points and their ground on league leaders, Luton Town.
