A tough weekend ahead for the Steelers as Belfast Giants come to town

Sheffield Steelers welcome the league-leading Belfast Giants for a double header this weekend.

The Steelers are on a four-game winning streak, and beat their local rivals Manchester Storm last time out.

But the Giants are in the midst of an even better run of form, having won nine on the bounce and 17 of their 21 games this season.

Belfast captain Blair Riley leads the league with 28 points and is sure to pose a threat. Another Belfast player to watch out for is their star goaltender Tyler Beskorowany.

Steelers Jackson Whistle, pictured, and Ryan Martinelli will play against their former team having moved to Sheffield from Belfast earlier this year.

The Steelers play at 7pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday at the FlyDSA Arena.
