The future is bright for Rovers
A bumper crowd saw Doncaster Rovers Youth lift the Youth Alliance Cup after beating Exeter City 4-0 in the final.
Jordan Ball was the star of the show for Rovers and it was him who put the visitors in front on the 18 minute mark when he nodded in James Husband’s free kick.
The goal seemed to unsettle the home team and Doncaster dominated from then on.
Unfortunate only to be 1-0 up at half time, the away side came out all guns blazing after the break.
Brett Lucas’ bullet header gave his side a two-goal advantage after 56 minutes before Ball added his second 10 minutes later.
Rovers substitute Joshua Meade wrapped up the points with a fourth goal in the fifth minute of injury time.
The game was played in front of 1,516 people, and although few of these were from Doncaster, Rovers fans are very excited by the prospect of certain members of this youth team playing at the Keepmoat in years to come.
Daniel Davies, a Doncaster Rovers fan said: “Jordan Ball for first team next season, sounds like an absolute goal machine!”
